Privacy Policy

Last updated June 11, 2026

This page describes what ThreadScout collects, why, and what we do with it, in plain language.

Short version: we store your email and the keywords you track so we can send your digest. We read public Reddit posts, not private messages. We do not sell your data, ever.

What we collect

  • Email address and monitoring preferences. When you subscribe, we store your email, the keywords you track, and the subreddits you choose, so we can send your digest.
  • Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep a reference to your checkout session to verify your subscription.
  • IP address. Used only to enforce the daily limit on free scans. Quota records are deleted within two days.

What we do not collect

  • No advertising trackers and no third-party analytics cookies.
  • No selling or sharing of your data with data brokers, ever.
  • No Reddit account access. ThreadScout only reads publicly available posts.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of processors to operate: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), and Firecrawl (search infrastructure). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data while your subscription is active. Email digest@threadscout.app from your subscribed address and we will delete your data within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will email active subscribers before the change takes effect.

Questions about your privacy? Email digest@threadscout.app and a human will reply.
